Beaverton Acupuncturist Dr. Alexa Rodriguez - D'Vida Clinic

Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine DACM: Doctorate and Master's in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine, Acupuncturist LAc.

Alexa received her undergraduate degree, Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, in 2017 from SUNY Oswego. As her passion for natural medicine began to grow, she sought to find a meaningful way to help others through that lens, which led her to Oregon College of Oriental Medicine at the start of 2019. During her years at OCOM, she had the privilege to study under wonderful professors and work at internships, which widened her scope of practice. Some of these included Interning at Legacy Health Pain Clinic to help patients who experience chronic pain and severe mental health trauma due to their pain and at Fora Health for individuals struggling with addiction. During her years interning at the university’s clinic, she was able to experience different patient’s needs and hone in on the skills needed to serve the individual.

Her clinical experience extended further through her work at the university’s clinic, where she encountered a wide range of patient needs. This immersive environment allowed Alexa to hone her skills in personalized care, not only in acupuncture but also in prescribing herbal medicine for those seeking to enhance their internal health. By addressing the unique needs of each patient, she cultivated a holistic approach to treatment that remains central to her practice today.

Alexa loves working on any condition that a patient may present to the clinic and is excited to always dive deep and learn more to best serve the individual. Alexa has a particular interest in treating women’s health and mental health. Given her background in Psychology, she is fascinated by how acupuncture affects the brain and the nervous system in positive ways! Alexa has had experience in treating all of the following:

  • Women’s Reproductive Health
  • Men’s Reproductive Health
  • Emotional & Physical trauma
  • Gastrointestinal discomfort
  • Autoimmune conditions
  • Auricular (Ear) detox protocol
  • Migraine Headaches
  • & More!

Alexa loves all things natural. She loves being able to have access to parks and hikes, and she loves learning about wildcrafting herbal medicine and cooking as close to the earth as possible by consuming a whole foods diet. She also enjoys living more of a minimalist lifestyle (except for her collection of acupuncture needles!). She really enjoys bringing this energy into her treatment room to create a simple and safe space for all. Feel free to ask her anything about lifestyle & how it relates to our nervous system!

Patients have said that they appreciate Alexa’s grounding presence in the treatment room and that she feels like a safe place to connect. Her number one goal is to make acupuncture and Chinese medicine approachable to all and to empower each person to come away from the experience, feeling more able to take on life’s challenges with a little more ease each day.

Specialist in Chinese Herbal Medicine

Dr. Alexa Rodriguez, DACM, LAc, is a dedicated practitioner specializing in acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine, a cornerstone of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). TCM is a holistic system practiced for thousands of years across China and East Asia, focused on restoring balance and harmony within the body, mind, and spirit. Chinese herbal medicine uses plant-based substances, minerals, and occasionally animal products, often prepared as tea by boiling raw ingredients or mixing granule powder with warm water. What sets this practice apart is its personalized approach—each prescription is uniquely tailored to the individual, ensuring no one-size-fits-all solutions. Dr. Alexa believes in the synergy of acupuncture and herbal medicine, as many practitioners view them as complementary, with one enhancing the effectiveness of the other. Through this integrated approach, she is dedicated to helping her patients achieve optimal health and well-being.
