Why would I want Acupuncture?
Acupuncture is well known for treating a wide variety of symptoms and ailments. Some include:
- Digestive disorders: gastritis and hyperacidity, spastic colon, constipation, diarrhea.
- Respiratory disorders: sinusitis, sore throat, bronchitis, asthma, recurrent chest infections.
- Neurological and muscular disorders: headaches, facial tics, neck pain, rib neuritis, frozen shoulder, tennis elbow, various forms of tendinitis, low back pain, sciatica, osteoarthritis.
- Urinary, menstrual, and reproductive problems.
- Physical problems related to stress and emotional conditions.
It is a safe and effective treatment. Patients don’t have to deal with the toxic side effects associated with pharmaceutical medications when they choose acupuncture. Patients that do not want to take pain medications or do not respond to them have found acupuncture to be very beneficial.
How does it Work?
A patient’s signs and symptoms determine which acupuncture points to use. Symptoms that are described to the acupuncturist during a consultation determine what areas of the body have weak or blocked qi, or living energy. These areas are stimulated to allow for the qi to flow through the body properly.
In Western medicine, this is described as stimulating the nervous system into releasing chemicals throughout different parts of the body. These chemicals trigger the release of hormones that promote self regulating of the different body systems.
How Long does it take to Work?
The time it takes to feel the effects varies, but it usually takes at least 24 hours after a session. For acute, or minor issues, a few sessions will be enough . For more complicated or severe conditions or injuries, it can take up to a few months of regular sessions to reach full improvement.
What is Acupuncture?
Acupuncture is an ancient Chinese medicine technique that promotes your body’s natural healing process. It is best known by the placement of thin, sterile needles in acupuncture points. If needles are used, they are always single use, sterile needles. There are many types of treatments that do not use needles, however.

Outstanding Clinic!!! I have visited D’vida Injury Clinic & Wellness Center for a few years now and will never go to anyone else. From acupuncture, massage therapy and the BEST Chiropractor around, Dr. Tony Rhodes Chiropractic Physician...they make you feel like a whole new person every time you leave the clinic. From the moment you enter the clinic you are greeted by the most friendly and professional staff you will ever encounter. Great experience and that’s exactly why I keep going back year after year. HIGHLY Recommend and already looking forward to my next appointment! Thank you D’Vida Clinic, you are the best!

Oh my oh my, this is going to be a long one... Here we go!
D’Vida staff treated me so WELL! I first met Bree and she was amazing. So friendly to me and very outgoing! Made me feel welcomed. Then I met Liz and honestly she also made welcome with her warm demeanor throughout the process through my accident back in March. The two of them really made me feel better through my condition every time I came for my treatments. Also, Michelle made my treatments easy and really helped with my condition. Felt like I could talk to her about anything from my condition to my personal life. Very blessed to have a person like her to talk to all the time I’m there for my acupuncture and cupping. She does so well at her job and keep up the amazing work! Also, I would love to give a shoutout to Kene(my apologies if I spelt name incorrectly) , and all the massage therapists there that helped with my neck pain that made me feel so much better. Lastly, Dr.Rhodes.! Dr.Rhodes is truly an amazing Doctor ive had in awhile and does so well in his job. I’m truly blessed to have work with him throughout the past few months. He really helped me through this phase and helped with my neck pain and treatments. Gave me all the necessary items to use to help with my pain and now I’m way better than ever. I’m so blessed to have come here to the point I’ll cry but I hold it in but in the inside it’s all happiness. Thank you guys dearly and I’ll be back very soon for a once a month check up for my body to make sure I’m good all year round! Keep up the amazing work because you guys are the BEST IN THE TOWN! Nuff said.
