Beaverton Interferential Therapy • Tens Units and Electric Stimulation

We typically use Interferential Treatment as a complimentary treatment to chiropractic, acupuncture, and massage. This method of reducing soreness and pain in the muscles and tissue allows other treatments to be more effective. When our providers do the initial evaluation they will discuss if it is recommended.

We offer treatment through take home Tens Units as well as use of a larger interferential machine in our clinic.

What is Interferential Therapy?

Inferential Treatment (IFC) is a form of physical therapy that uses an electrical signal to treat muscular spasms and strains. At least 4 Electric patches are used. They are typically placed in an X pattern to create a cross electrical current. The current is used to create a massaging type affect that relaxes the strained muscles, increases blood flow, reduces pain, and promotes healing.
